Project Sunlight

To celebrate the opening of the Sunlight Centre in Summer 2003, children from the local area helped create a wall plaque.

On the opening day, each child made two tiles showing a picture of themselves. At the end of the day, I took the tiles away and fired them.

On return of the finished tiles to the Centre, each child collected one of their creations as a memento of the day.

Their other tile was included in the ceramic art plaque which is now on permanent display in the Centre cafe.

The plaque was unveiled by John Prescott MP in November 2003 when he visited the Centre.
