Tonbridge Grammar School for Girls

I was proud to be appointed Artist in Residence for the 2006/07 academic, and so I am thrilled that I have be asked to carry on for a further year.

I shall continue to work alongside students and teachers, assisting students in their endeavours, holding a lunchtime club for year-seven students and working towards an exhibition, to be held at the school towards the end of the Summer term.

Tamryn Kirby wrote a piece entitled ‘10 Best Ceramicists’:

The sea is the inspiration for Claire Palastanga's work. Some pieces are 3D structures and others are framed so there will be something to fit any space. Each work is sculpted and finished with a crystalline glaze to add rich, deep colour. Absolutely everything is handmade by Claire at the Studio in Tunbridge Wells.
